About Me
I’m a software engineer, trained partly through General Assembly Software Engineering Immersive Course in late 2019, and partly through a variety of online resources perused over many years. In mid 2019, following six years working in biomedical engineering, medtech consulting and sales, I decided to change career and pursue software development full-time.
I have strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail, especially under pressure, both of which I have honed during my time consulting medtech usage for neurosurgical procedures.
Whilst I enjoyed this work for a long time, I really craved more creativity, especially that expressed via code. I've loved being able to do this every day having made the transition to software development.
Now, my day job involves writing a lot of React and Node.js code in a large tech team, and I even enjoy writing comprehensive tests for this code. I love working on design systems in order to make developer and user experience delightful.
